At Musselburgh school we are very proud to have families who represent many different cultures and ethnicities. We ensure each child’s culture is recognised and celebrated. Throughout the school year we host many cultural events including various cultural festivals,  Māori and Pasifika Festival, Matariki and Parihaka commemorations. We also have very successful Pasifika and Kapa Haka groups who compete in the annual Kapa Haka and Pasifika Festival.

We also engage with local iwi, the community and the whānau of our students to ensure our curriculum best fits the needs and wants of our tamariki.  We do this by regularly hosting Whānau Hui and Fono as well as carrying out local surveys to gain insights from the community.
